Interkulturelles Bürgerfest Prohlis
Auch dieses Jahr waren wir vom Gemeinschaftsgarten mit dem Netzwerk „Prohlis ist bunt“ im Rahmen der Interkulturellen Tage Dresden beim Prohliser Bürgerfest beteiligt. Am 14. Oktober gab es auf dem Vorplatz vom Prohliszentrum ein vielfältiges Programm, zusammengestellt von Vereinen und Akteur*innen aus dem Stadtteil.
Für Atmosphäre und Unterhaltung sorgten im Bühnenprogramm unter anderem „MUSAIK“ (Gemeinsam musizieren e.V.), der „Chor der Georgier in Dresden e.V.“ und andere Akteur*innen… Des Weiteren gab es vielfältige Mitmachangebote zum Basteln, Seifen herstellen, einen Barfuß-Parkour und eine Chill-Out-Ecke mit Tischkicker. Ein buntes Angebot an kulinarischen Speisen aus verschiedensten Regionen und Ländern dieser Welt sorgten für Gaumenfreuden und repräsentierten ebenfalls die kulturelle Vielfalt dieser Veranstaltung.
Saftpressen
Am 19.10. wurde im Gemeinschaftsgarten erneut der Herbst mit einer spritzigen und gemeinschaftlichen Saftpressaktion begrüßt. Nachdem wir eine Woche zuvor auf einer im Stadtteil gelegenen Streuobstwiese die dafür notwendigen Äpfel gelesen hatten, konnte es an diesem Tag endlich losgehen. Alle daran interessierten Prohliser*innen sollten dafür zum Abfüllen eigene Flaschen mitbringen.
In Teams wurden Obstmühle und Saftpresse aufgebaut und die Äpfel gewaschen, ausgeschnitten bzw. halbiert. Im nächsten Schritt wurden die Apfelspalten mit der Obstmühle zerkleinert, bevor sie schließlich in der Presse zu leckerem Saft wurden. Der Saft, der dabei herauskam, ist ein reiner Genuss und eine wohlschmeckende Belohnung für die teils anstrengende Arbeit.
Dieses Angebot findet in der Gartengemeinschaft immer mehr Zuspruch und wird sicherlich traditionell im nächsten Jahr fortgeführt werden. Vielleicht möchtest auch du im kommenden Jahr gemeinsam mit uns an dieser Aktion teilnehmen? Wir würden uns freuen…
Halloween
Ende des Monats fand traditionell das Prohliser Halloweenfest statt, organisiert von Quartiersmanagement Prohlis, fabi und Gemeinschaftsgarten sowie weiteren Netzwerkakteur*innen. Viele Prohliser*innen erschienen freudig auf dem Vorplatz vom Prohliszentrum zu Angeboten wie Kürbisse schnitzen und Laternenbasteln. Es folgte ein von der Band „Krambambuli“ musikalisch begleiteter Laternenumzug, welcher im Gelände des Familienbildungszentrums endete. Dort konnten sich die Besucher*innen musikalisch und lichttechnisch ausgeschmückt von „Querformat e.V.“ an mehreren Feuerstellen wärmen, Stockbrot backen oder Würstchen grillen. Gegen Ende gab es sogar noch eine Feuershow. Es freut uns zu sehen, dass all die Vorbereitung, Planung, Organisation und schließlich Umsetzung in einem so tollen Fest mündeten.
Intercultural citizens‘ festival in Prohlis
Once again, we from the community garden and the „Prohlis ist bunt“ network took part in the Prohlis Citizens‘ Festival as part of the Dresden Intercultural Days. On October 14, there was a varied program on the forecourt of the Prohliszentrum, put together by associations and actors from the district.
„MUSAIK“ (Gemeinsam musizieren e.V.), the „Chor der Georgier in Dresden e.V.“ and other performers provided atmosphere and entertainment in the stage program… In addition, there were various hands-on offers for handicrafts, soap making, a barefoot parkour and a chill-out corner with table football. A colorful selection of culinary dishes from various regions and countries of the world provided culinary delights and also represented the cultural diversity of this event.
Juicing
On October 19, the community garden once again welcomed autumn with a lively and communal juice pressing event. After picking the necessary apples from an orchard in the district a week earlier, we were finally able to get started on this day. All interested Prohlis residents were asked to bring their own bottles for bottling.
The fruit mill and juicer were set up in teams and the apples were washed, cut out and halved. In the next step, the apple slices were crushed with the fruit mill before finally being turned into delicious juice in the press. The resulting juice is a pure delight and a tasty reward for the sometimes strenuous work.
This offer is becoming more and more popular in the gardening community and will certainly be continued next year as a tradition. Perhaps you would also like to take part in this campaign with us next year? We would be delighted…
Halloween
At the end of the month, the traditional Prohlis Halloween festival took place, organized by the Prohlis neighbourhood management, fabi, the community garden and other network players. Many Prohlis residents happily turned up on the forecourt of the Prohliszentrum for activities such as pumpkin carving and lantern making. This was followed by a lantern parade accompanied by the band „Krambambuli“, which ended in the grounds of the family education center. There, visitors were able to warm themselves at several fire pits, bake bread on a stick or grill sausages, with music and lighting provided by „Querformat e.V.“. There was even a fire show towards the end. We are delighted to see that all the preparation, planning, organization and finally implementation resulted in such a great party.
